One of the features of these UF images, Coco, is that they are like pieces of well-composed music in that the different shapes are like different instruments. You can focus on the whole image as you might a symphony and let the vision/sound wsash over you, or you can focus on a shape as you might on the violins or an oboe and follow those themes through. I think this is a good example of a string quartet with violins and cello!
I see connections between all the arts, Coco. I try not to distinguish, say, music and visual art, in my fundamental view that art is to do with the making of images for a purpose - images can be visual or musical or written or.... I think that some of the fractal work from Apophysis and so on can be liken to major symphonies where we see/hear different elements/instruments developing themes at different levels. But then I'm a bit like that...odd!
I can certainly understand that, David ~ particularly with a lot of the Apo images. However, I do need to distinguish between them here on dA, as being also a musician I don't represent that side of myself on this site. Possibly the 'roundedness' of my images are a flow-on from that? Maybe!
I would be very surprised if your musicality did not influence your visual images, Coco. I have to ask what instruments you play? My guess is an oboe! I once tried to learn the triangle, but couldn't get the hang of it.
